Hi, its me. This is talking to me. I am a huge emotional spender and do my best. As someone who definitely needs to be on a budget, I actually created a little system that helps me. Every paycheck, I put money aside for "emotional support". Like literally I have to psychically take money out of the bank and put it in an envelope. That has helped me manage my self control. But when it comes to little treats, I say FUCK IT. If a coffee or a small desert can make me feel a little happier after a long day, why would I make myself feel bad about that? I'm very much here for enjoying the money we work our asses off for.
I don't have enough money to do much emotional spending, as an Internet writer! My treat brain has to choose from a long list of useful purchases I've been putting off...plumbing, wiring, roof? At the very most frivolous I might treat myself to yarn to knit something for sale, or a new bra...
